This workshop is an initial phase of a project to develop confidence in measurement methods for describing release of nanomaterials from materials used in commercial products.
The goal of the workshop, held May 10-11, 2011, in Arlington, Virginia, was to inform the NanoRelease Steering Committee about what to include in a subsequent expert process. Experts at this workshop were asked to provide input to help define and elaborate nanomaterial release scenarios and measurement methods over the life cycle of use of specific material types that have added nanomaterials.
